Meeting Pam and Dena, the pictures

Let me first share this amazing quote by Mary: “Grief is not a sign of weakness. It’s the price of love”. I love you and miss you so much Esther and Yvonne :)

Now on to happier things. I met my #1 en #2 myspace friends Pam and Dena in October. Here are the pictures I would like to share.

I must be out of my mind!

Yesterday they showed Beyoncé’s perfume commercial on tv. This seemed like the perfect time to ask my mother permission for me to buy concert tickets. In 2007 I went to America and I couldn’t go to her concert. The ‘Beyoncé experience’ was amazing and I can’t wait to see how she is going to top it! Anyway I got permission to buy the tickets so today I waited until the pre-sale began and bought them. Me and my mom will be in the ‘golden circle’! I almost got an heart attack when I saw the prices.. The site listed the most expensive tickets as 64 euro, but these were 71,90. Of course I chose the best tickets available but this means I have to pay 10 euro more! 71,90 euro is about 103 dollar 8-O (Ok, I totally said that because I love the low dollar  , yay for ebay!)

2009 is going to be a great year, musically! I also have tickets for 2 P!nk concerts!

Review of Christina Aguilera’s new songs

These tracks will all be on her Greatest Hits album “Keeps getting better – A decade of hits“, available from November 11th, exclusively at Target!

Dynamite

I liked this song since the first time I listened to it. It’s an fun pop-electric song with an uptempo beat. It doesn’t have meaningful lyrics but that is because it is a track to dance on. People will enjoy singing along with this song as the lyrics are fairly simple and good to remember. I especially like the line “A Change, a change is coming”. It is almost like she is talking about Barack Obama’s campaign.
Grade: B+

You are what you are (beautiful)

This is the infamous remake of her hit ‘beautiful’. It almost sounds like she is stoned (BTW, don’t do drugs), and the music is really relaxing but weird at the same time. I have to confess I did not like it in the beginning but it has really started to grow on me. She even belts at the end, but like one Christina fan said ‘It sounds like Christina is captured by robots and is trying to break free’
Grade: B

Genie 2.0

I love the new mature version of this song. It’s so sexual and easy to sing along with! I think the ending is best because of the ‘Come on Come on and let me out’ (My heart is saying, no). This definitely beats the original, that’s for sure!

Grade: A-

I’m going to bed. I have a lot of things to do tomorrow! I’m not feeling so very well..

Christina lost Best act ever to Rick Astley..

I was watching the EMA’s, hoping she would win.. Perez Hilton comes to present the award and suddenly he drops that Rick Astley (?) won the award for “Best act ever”.. HUH

I’m speechless, my mouth literally dropped. Who is Rick Astley?????? And what did he do to deserve the Best act ever award? His music sounds so.. dated. Plus he only wrote a couple of songs.

Bleh, U2 or Christina should have won this award. But I’m already glad Christina didn’t lose from Tokiohotel and Britney Spears..
